Canon Elura

It was my birthday on Thanksgiving. Instead of Nacho Libre, I got something even better! Lots of BEST BUY GIFT CERTIFICATES.

So I went to get the


Canon Elura Mini DV Recorder




It's amazing in that it's highly compatible with MAC, records uncompressed, and all you need is firewire to get it going. I was thinking of going HD but after reading how JVC and SONY were highly incompatible with MAC, is $200+, and it only records in compressed mode, I passed.

Look at the specs for the Canon Elura at this Cnet Review where it scored really well among the competition.
